According to popular British broadcaster, Piers Morgan Lionel Messi should not have won the 2023 Ballon d’Or.
Morgan, writing on his X account on Tuesday, insisted the award process was rigged.
According to him, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland should have picked up the prize instead.
“Messi preposterously winning the Ballon d’Or this year is yet more proof that the whole ‘Golden Ball’ system is rigged.
“He should have won 2 fewer, @Cristiano should have won 2 more, and Haaland should have won this year. End,” Morgan wrote.
Messi won the Ballon D’Or ahead of Haaland and Mbappe, who finished second and third in the final voting.
