Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Iyabo Ojo, has responded to the criticism she has faced for openly supporting the late singer, Mohbad.
CREEBHILLS earlier reported that Iyabo, along with her colleague Tonto Dikeh, have taken a leading role in seeking justice for the deceased artist.
However, their actions have drawn criticism, especially the recording of their preparations for his burial.
In a post on her Instagram page, Iyabo acknowledged that she is not perfect and has never claimed to be.
She stated that just being herself is more than enough for her. She courageously stated that she will continue to speak her truth regardless of the stories others may create about her or the hate she receives.
Iyabo emphasized that she would rather be a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who fights for justice, even if it costs her.
Furthermore, Iyabo expressed her desire for a better Nigeria and a safe environment for her children.
She believes that it is her responsibility, as well as the responsibility of the public, to work towards achieving these goals.
“I’m not perfect………. Never said I was, never said I would. Just being me is more than perfect for me,
I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt……..I would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice, bcos death at the end is inevitable, I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children & that duty starts from you and me, we can’t all be silence……… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet”.
