Aurelio De Laurentiis, the owner of Napoli, has acknowledged that he is prepared to sell Victor Osimhen if he does not agree to a new contract in the near future.
Osimhen’s current contract with the Serie A champions will expire in June 2025.
Nevertheless, there are uncertainties surrounding the Nigerian striker’s future at the Italian club following a controversial incident on the club’s official TikTok account, where he was ridiculed for missing a penalty against Bologna.
De Laurentiis has revealed that while a verbal agreement for a new contract has been reached, Osimhen still has the option to leave Naples.
He said: “We verbally agreed on new deal in August, then if things change on his side… life goes on. Victor’s contract expires in June 2025, there’s always time. Remember, I sold Koulibaly to Chelsea one year before end of his deal.”
