Yul Edochie, a well-known Nollywood actor, recently shared his disappointment regarding the prevalent jealousy among Igbos.
In a post on his Instagram page, the former presidential aspirant questioned the motives behind this hatred.
He expressed his observation of Igbos who are successful in their lives, yet face animosity and criticism from their own family members.
Edochie encouraged his fellow Igbos to strive for improvement and advised them to abandon envy and competition, emphasizing that change can only happen when such behaviors are left behind.
“Too much jealousy and envy amongst Igbos.
Why??
If you’re doing well as an Igbo person, your biggest haters are your fellow Igbo person.
Sometimes even your family members.
Igbos we need to do better. We’re great.
Stop the envy. Stop the competition. Things change when we address them”.
The response to his post has been varied, with some individuals referencing his previous marital scandal to highlight how jealousy is present in all tribes.
