Liya, once known as DMW’s first lady, recently revealed the reason behind her abrupt departure from the record label led by Davido in a podcast interview.
Despite producing notable tracks like “Lakiriboto” and “Melo” during her time with DMW, she felt that her career was not receiving the recognition it deserved.
This perception ultimately led her to make the difficult decision to part ways with the label.
Liya explained that her departure was primarily driven by her belief that she was not receiving the necessary attention and support from DMW to further her career.
She expressed the need to start fresh and pursue her own musical path in a different direction.
However, despite leaving DMW, Liya still expressed her admiration for the label’s current roster of artists and their endeavors.
She reiterated her continued support for DMW and its new talents, wishing them success in their musical pursuits.
