Popular Nigerian female Singer and songwriter, Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola, popularly known as Liya, has revealed that she has parted ways with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
The ‘Melo’ crooner disclosed this during a question-and-answer session with her fans on Instagram recently.
The fan wrote: “Are you still in DMW?”
Liya replied: “Nopee, But #30bg for lifee.”
Recall that Davido signed Liya as the first female artiste under his imprint, Davido Music Worldwide, in October 2020.
In other news, Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, nicknamed Burna Boy, says he is not troubled by the perception that he is a newcomer to the music business.
According to CREEBHILLS, Davido created controversy last month when he included Burna Boy with Rema, Asake, Fireboy DML, and other “new cats” in his category.
The DMW boss came under fire from many for underrating Burna Boy.
