Afrobeats star Emmanuel Adewale, popularly known as Mayorkun, has shed light on his current relationship with DMW boss, Davido, despite no longer being signed to the label.
In a recent interview on Arise News, Mayorkun revealed that his contract with DMW Records officially ended nearly four years ago. However, he emphasized that the bond between him and Davido remains unshaken.
“My contract with DMW has been done for about 3 to 4 years, but I’m still with them. After this interview, the next person I will be seeing is Davido,” he shared.
Mayorkun added that while his upcoming music project is not under the DMW umbrella, it will be released under Sony Music, where he has been signed for the past three years.
The singer’s statement highlights the strength of his personal connection with Davido, despite their professional paths diverging.
