American DJ and music executive DJ Khaled has shared that he has recently found inspiration in Afrobeats.
He explained that he feels a similar kind of spiritual connection to the genre as he does with dancehall.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Another One’ artist revealed that Afrobeats star Burna Boy will be featured on his upcoming 14th studio album, titled ‘Til Next Time,’ set to be released in 2024.
Additionally, DJ Khaled expressed his desire to collaborate with Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems.
He also mentioned that although his parents often tease him about running for president, it’s not something that interests him.
“As far as politics, I never got into it,” he said. “It’s a never-ending conversation of back and forth. There’s never an answer. I’d rather be the person that focuses on the solution of being good at all times, working hard, and spreading that love because you can do that.”
