The federal government has deleted the contentious presidential yacht from Nigeria’s 2023 supplementary budget following a social media outcry.
In the midst of an economic downturn, the government intended to spend a stunning N5 billion on the presidential boat.
Although the president’s adviser explained that it was intended for the Nigerian navy rather than President Tinubu.
However, Abubakar Bichi, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, recently stated that the cash for the presidential boat has been moved to student loans.
