In a recent social media post, Hilda Baci, a popular Nigerian chef also known as Hilda Effiong Bassey, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to Irish chef Alan Fisher for breaking her Guinness World Record for the longest cooking individual.
Today, on November 7th, 2023, Guinness World Records officially confirmed that Fisher cooked for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes in Japan, surpassing Baci’s previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Baci, originally from Akwa-Ibom State, had received the title of longest-cooking individual in June 2023.
Despite her reign being short-lived, she graciously acknowledged Fisher’s remarkable achievement and took the time to extend her congratulations.
Hilda Baci wrote; “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.”
She added; “I’m so happy to have held a record so prestigious and profound I will forever be honored and grateful for all the love and support ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
