I Didn’t Want To be Part of This Corruption, That’s Why I Didn’t Go to the Ballon D’ Or – De Bruyne

Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester City: Leaders fail to restore six-point advantage

Kevin De Bruyne, the midfielder for Manchester City, made it clear that he deliberately chose not to attend the Ballon d’Or podium as he wanted no part in any kind of corruption.

He recently spoke about his absence from the prestigious ceremony, referring to it as a manifestation of complete corruption.

As reported by Sky Sports, Kevin De Bruyne said; “This award has become a joke, they leak the name of the winner a week ago. If the award were fair, the Haaland would have won it.

“He did everything he could have done, still he lost. I didn’t want to be part of the corruption, that’s why I didn’t go to the Ballon d’Or podium.”
