During a recent podcast appearance, renowned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci shared her thoughts on the beloved Ghanaian dish, jollof rice.
Chef Baci, known for her impressive Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time, expressed her disappointment with the flavor of the Ghanaian version.
Reflecting on a past jollof competition between Nigeria and Ghana, the chef proudly declared her victory and criticized the taste of the Ghanaian jollof.
Even though it was a competition where participants presented their best efforts, she found that the Ghanaian jollof she sampled lacked distinct flavor.
Chef Baci confidently stated that she believed the Ghanaian jollof she tasted represented the best attempt of her Ghanaian counterpart.
Furthermore, she mentioned that after examining Ghanaian jollof recipes, she found them to be basic and lacking the intricate flavor profiles she values.
