Famed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed her strong disapproval of the ongoing demand for a DNA test to determine the paternity of Liam Light, the son of the late Mohbad.
Instead, she believes that the focus should be on seeking justice for the singer’s untimely death.
During a recent live session on social media, the Iyabo Ojo discussed the singer’s tragic passing and his father’s insistence on a DNA test for his grandson.
The actress emphasized that the paternity test is a major distraction and would not absolve Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, of any suspicion, regardless of the results.
Iyabo Ojo went on to state that this issue is a private family matter that should be resolved privately, rather than diverting attention away from finding the person responsible for Mohbad’s death.
She concluded by highlighting that Wunmi is the sole decision-maker when it comes to consenting to the DNA test, pending the release of the autopsy report on the late singer.
“DNA was not part of our justice for Mohbad, so it does not really concern us. But his dad came out to say he wants DNA because that was one of the distractions and narratives they brought out and he wants them to do it since they want to do it. Okay, that’s fine! But that’s a family matter, it has got nothing to do with justice for Mohbad,” she said in part.
