In the recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Alibaba, a well-established Nigerian comedian, expressed that skit maker Mark Angel is one of the most financially successful comedians in the country, earning a staggering $300,000 per month.
Alibaba shared that despite this impressive income, Mark Angel’s modesty prevents him from flaunting his wealth and many people do not believe he is affluent.
He said, “Some people still don’t believe Mark Angel is one of the richest comedians. Until somebody then hears how much YouTube, Facebook pay him every month. You hear someone is making up to $300,000 a month. And you are like, ‘Is it not that guy that wears big shorts and acts crazy?”
Alibaba highlighted the irony that if Mark Angel were a politician, banker, or oil merchant, people would readily accept his wealth, but because he is a comedian, his wealth is often questioned.
Alibaba advised individuals to refrain from underestimating the comedy profession.
