Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine came out to defend himself against accusations of abuse against his girlfriend ‘Yailin Las Mas Viral’.
After a photo was leaked of the Dominican artist showing bruises, 6ix9ine went on a 20-minute live to give his version of events and followed it with ‘receipts’.
“Yailin is not well, she needs help”, the New York native spoke in Spanish to his millions of followers.
Claiming postpartum depression could be to blame, 6ix9ine shared several disturbing videos of his partner attacking him with a blunt object and even threatening him at knifepoint.
In two separate videos, Yailin can be seen forcing her way past a security guard in an attempt to get her hands on 6ix9ine and screaming. “Men can be the victims of domestic abuse also”, one of 6ix9ine’s followers commented on the posts.
In the long live monologue, the GOOBA artist insisted that he wanted to keep the matter private, but Dominican radio host Prince Matias didn’t give him a choice. Just hours before 6ix9ine’s posts, the host told his followers to sign up to his Whatsapp channel to see pictures of Yailin bruised and beaten. “They’re using Yailin as a prop for entertainment, for gossip… But she needs help, she doesn’t need publicity or to be thrown into a scandal”, the rapper pleaded.
“Yailin was loved, she was cared for. I’m on probation, I would never lay my hands on a woman. I’m not here to create gossip, I’m here to clear my name and ask that this matter be dealt with responsibly”, he told his followers.
Aside from the videos, 6ix9ine also shared stories on his account with messages directed at those he considers are carrying a “campaign” against him. Using a screenshot of a video which appears to feature Yailin hitting him with a blunt object, he asks: “What? Are these no good for you to include in your campaign?”
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s relationship status at this time with Yailin La Mas Viral seems unclear, but if it hasn’t ended yet, the end seems to be coming very soon.
