Tekashi 6ix9ine may be known for his online feuds and controversies, but behind the scenes, the rapper is also navigating a series of serious legal developments. One of those appears to be moving toward resolution, as authorities have arrested a suspect connected to the recent invasion of his home.
According to a report by TMZ, law enforcement officials confirmed over the weekend that a suspect linked to the break-in at 6ix9ine’s residence last month has been taken into custody. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in Florida identified the suspect as 19-year-old Pedro Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is facing multiple charges, including armed home invasion robbery with a firearm, false imprisonment, grand theft, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver. Authorities also revealed that he may not have acted alone, as additional suspects are believed to be involved. While no further arrests had been made at the time of reporting, officials stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident occurred about a month ago when four men allegedly broke into 6ix9ine’s home and held his mother at gunpoint. The rapper was not present during the invasion, as he was away at the time. Reports indicate that the suspects took advantage of his absence, which was publicly visible due to a livestream with Jack Doherty.
Surveillance footage reportedly captured the suspects entering the property through the garage. Police said the intruders searched the home for car keys and cash before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Following the incident, 6ix9ine addressed the situation in a video shared on social media, expressing outrage over what happened to his family.
“Yesterday, they allowed me to leave [house arrest] for work,” he expressed. “People saw that I was on livestream with Jack Doherty. They took that opportunity to fing do some py st. It’s me, so I get it. The rules are different for me. If it was your favorite artist, your favorite actor and that was done, they don’t get no cool points for that. My mom is 60 years old. Y’all know I’m supposed to come home. Y’all know I’m home all the time. I’m on house arrest. So, y’all take the opportunity that I’m not home and y’all see me on livestream with Jack Doherty in Miami and y’all do that. That’s p*y s**t.”
Meanwhile, the rapper is also preparing to return to prison for probation violations, with a 90-day sentence expected to begin soon. Before then, authorities may provide further updates as the home invasion investigation continues to unfold.
