Nollywood actress Doris Ogala was reportedly arrested on Saturday following a week of intense public controversy surrounding allegations she made against Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry.
The situation escalated after a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman surfaced online, prompting Ogala to come forward with claims that she had been in a romantic relationship with the cleric since 2017. According to the actress, she left her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence and was allegedly promised marriage, only to later feel betrayed.
Ogala further claimed that the ordeal severely affected her mental and emotional health, disclosing that she had struggled with suicidal thoughts during the fallout. In the midst of the controversy, she issued an ultimatum demanding that Okafor either marry her or financially “settle” her by purchasing a house.
Despite the allegations, photos from Okafor’s white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies emerged online last Wednesday, further fueling the dispute. In response, Ogala reportedly demanded N1 billion in damages for breach of promise.
The drama deepened on Friday when the actress shared a now-deleted post allegedly showing Okafor in a private bedroom setting, appearing topless with a towel wrapped around his waist. The post circulated briefly before being taken down.
The reported arrest came during a live-streamed interview, which was abruptly interrupted when the host asked, “The police are in your house?” Ogala confirmed the development, responding, “Yes, the police are in my house.”
As of now, there has been no official statement from law enforcement or Pastor Chris Okafor addressing the arrest or the allegations. The situation remains fluid as the public awaits further clarification on the legal implications of the unfolding dispute.
