Yul Edochie, a controversial Nollywood actor, has provided an explanation to his fans and followers on the importance of blocking on social media.
In a post on his Instagram page, the actor, who has been embroiled in a marriage scandal for over two years, openly expressed his fondness for blocking people.
Yul Edochie acknowledged that he does not feel obligated to maintain social media friendships with individuals he has blocked in real life. Nevertheless, he clarified that he may still maintain friendships with them offline.
He further stated that if someone posts content that does not resonate with his values, he promptly blocks them and has no issue if they choose to block him in return.
The 42-year-old filmmaker also emphasized that one of the greatest benefits of blocking is the ability to forget that someone even exists.
In his words: “Blocking dey sweet oo. We can be friends in real life, doesn’t mean we must be friends on social media. Once your posts no dey align with my spirit, I block you immediately. Block me too, don’t waste time.
And the sweet thing about blocking, once you block someone you won’t remember that person exists anymore. I love it. Block someone today. Thank me later.”
