In a recent interview on the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast with host Joey Akan, popular singer Joeboy expressed his admiration for successful artistes and music executives Don Jazzy and Olamide.
He revealed his desire to emulate their careers, stating that he was inspired by their ability to not only carve out their own paths in the industry but also provide opportunities for others to succeed.
Joeboy shared his excitement for the future after leaving Mr Eazi’s Empawa and launching his own record label, Young Legend.
“I am so super excited about what is to come because one thing I always used to say to my friends then is that I want to be a combination of Don Jazzy and Olamide. Because it’s one thing to come into the game and create your own wave, and then help others and facilitate a lot more waves.
“It’s not even about the money, it’s about the fact that I can say I helped people,” the singer said.
