Influencer and humanitarian Michael Oyiga recently shared that American YouTuber Kai Cenat generously donated $2,800 towards the construction of a new school building in the Makoko slums of Lagos.
Kai Cenat, who visited Makoko as part of his tour in Nigeria, interacted with local children and made a commitment to assist the community.
Updating followers on Cenat’s philanthropic gesture, Michael revealed that the YouTuber’s donation had kickstarted the construction of a new facility at one of the schools he supports.
Taking to Twitter, Michael announced that the building project had officially begun, just two weeks after Cenat’s contribution.
He wrote:
“Two weeks ago, Kai Cenat came to one of the schools I’ve been looking out for in the slums of Lagos and donated $2,800 for a new building. 3.9million Naira.
Today, the building construction has started. Just wanted to update everyone. For posterity sake”
