Seun Kuti, a well-known singer, reflected on the time he changed the name of Wizkid’s fans from Wizkid FC to Buhari’s children while addressing the issue of cyberbullying.
He emphasized the seriousness of cyberbullying and cyberstalking, mentioning life threats and the posting of personal information online.
Seun Kuti shared his own experience of facing criticism when he stated that only four Nigerian artists, including himself, had received Grammy nominations.
Despite receiving backlash for his comments, he clarified that Wizkid had only been nominated for a music video, not an album.
After receiving backlash from Wizkid’s fans, known as Buhari’s children, Kuti insisted that he never felt threatened or endangered, even though the online drama lasted for a week.
To avoid further controversy and protect the artist’s reputation, he changed the name of Wizkid’s fans from Wizkid FC to Buhari’s children.
