Canadian artist Drake lost $565,000 betting on Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk, marking another significant gambling defeat for him.
Prior to the fight, Drake shared on Instagram that he had wagered the large sum on Fury to emerge victorious.
If Fury had won, Drake would have won slightly over $1 million.
However, Usyk claimed the victory over Fury by split decision in Saudi Arabia, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight boxing champion in 24 years.
Usyk now holds the WBC title in addition to his own WBA, IBF, and WBO belts.
This loss adds to Drake’s previous losses in gambling, including a six-figure sum after Anthony Joshua’s victory over Francis Ngannou and another $700,000 after Dricus Du Plessis defeated Sean Strickland at UFC 297.
