Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Spyro has delivered a message to upcoming artists.
In a post on his Instagram page, he said that signing with the world’s biggest company or artist does not ensure success.
Spyro began by saying that he hopes students understand that labels/big names only help with what one already has.
Spyro emphasised that if you already have a failure mentality that everything must be done for you, the label will just make you a bigger failure, and vice versa.
Spyro made it clear that talent alone will not get you far. In actuality, a talentless individual with focus, determination, and hard effort wins the bag.
The “Who Is Your Guy” singer went on yo admonish them to stop building castles in the air waiting for labels/people and start investing in themselves.
Spyro wrote;
“Dear Upcoming artiste,
I write this to you from the depth of my heart. I wish you would know that the Label of who is signing you has nothing to do with your success. So if you like be signed by the biggest label/artiste in the world, it’s still no guarantee for success o.
Labels/Big names will only aid what you already “CARRY”
So, if you already carry a failure mentality that everything must be done for you/handed to you just because you got the talent, well the will help amplify you to be a massive failure and vice versa. Just so you know too, your talent without diligence and hard work will FAIL YOU. In fact these days a talentless person with focus, diligence & hardwork gets the bag.
Stop building castles in the air waiting for labels/people and start investing in YOU
In my case, LABELS failed me so I built mine from zero to what it is today and if I can do it YES YOU CAN too… Infact while I was signed to my last label, I was there taking loans from people and the bank to fund projects
