Renowned disk jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed her admiration for Nigerian afrobeats stars Asake, Rema, Ruger, and Shallipopi after their successful debut at the UK’s Wireless Festival.
The quartet received high praise for their performances at the 2024 Wireless Festival in London, where DJ Cuppy also showcased her skills on the turntables.
In a post on social media, DJ Cuppy congratulated and applauded the talented artists for their captivating sets.
On her X handle, she wrote: “I have to hail all my brothers o! Congrats to @asakemusik, @heisrema, @shallipopi_, and @rugerofficial for their stellar performances at #WirelessFestival.
This comes after Ayra Starr and Burna Boy made history as the first African performers on the main stage of the renowned Glastonbury Festival in the UK.
Additionally, British band Coldplay invited Nigerian afrobeat legend Femi Kuti to join them on stage during their performance at Glastonbury.
