Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, the mother of renowned Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale, has voiced her distress over being neglected by her son.
Following her eviction from her home in 2022, Elsie expressed her disappointment in a video, lamenting Shatta Wale‘s absence from her life.
Two years later, in 2024, the 70-year-old once again spoke out in a trending social media video, crying out about her deteriorating health, including hypertension, and the lack of support from her son.
Elsie revealed that Shatta Wale has not been in contact with her for over a decade, leaving her unaware of her whereabouts.
Currently being cared for by her sister and niece, Sharita Aheteku, due to her health issues, she has made a public appeal for financial assistance.
“My name is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. I am the biological mother of Shatta Wale. I haven’t spoken with my son for about 10 or more years now. He doesn’t know where I live and what I eat but now my health is dropping and I’m seriously healed.”
