Nigerian-South African beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina recently opened up about the personal challenges she faced during her pageantry journey.
In an interview on the Big Friday Show with host Tacha from Big Brother Naija, Chidimma discussed the struggles she had with identity issues due to her dual citizenship.
“I think it’s something I started recently; however, I’ve had this dream since 2017 to become the next Miss Universe. I’m really glad I have been given the platform and the opportunity to at least try and reach that goal,” she said.
Despite facing criticism in South Africa during her Miss South Africa contestant announcement and exiting the pageant amidst allegations involving her mother, Chidimma Adetshina expressed her ambition to compete for the title of Miss Universe.
Following the controversy, she accepted an invitation from the Silverbird Group to join the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.
