Victor Boniface, the forward for Bayer Leverkusen, has finally spoken out after receiving a one-match ban and a €25,000 fine for unsportsmanlike behavior in their Super Cup match against VfB Stuttgart.
The German Football Association (DFB) officially announced the decision on Wednesday.
Boniface has advised his social media followers to refrain from making any requests for the next three months.
“If you bill me for the next three months, I fit block you. Let’s all be guided,” he wrote.
The fine amounts to approximately N44 million.
The incident in question involved him allegedly making an obscene gesture, raising his middle finger towards Stuttgart players during post-match celebrations.
