Erling Haaland has been selected as August’s Premier League Player of the Month. Manchester City’s striker scored seven goals last month.
This is a league-record return for the season’s first three games.
Haaland’s goals have propelled City to the top with nine points – an ideal start to the season.
Meanwhile, Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler – the Premier League’s youngest-ever permanent manager – won manager of the month in August.
The 31-year-old oversaw Brighton’s unbeaten start to the season, which included wins over Everton and Manchester United and a stalemate at Arsenal.
