Skales, also known as Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, has claimed that he collaborated on several hit songs with his former EME colleague, Wizkid.
During an interview on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ hosted by Bae U Barbie, Skales disclosed that he co-wrote tracks for Wizkid’s debut album ‘Super Star,’ including the popular bonus track ‘Wiz Party.’
However, he acknowledged that Wizkid also contributed to his music, notably on the hit song ‘Mukulu.’
He said, “Back in EME, we were a team so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote songs for Wizkid. He also wrote songs for me, too.
“He wrote ‘Mukulu’ for me and I wrote his song ‘Wiz Party.’ As I said, EME was a collective, so we did teamwork.”
Both artists were signed to EME in the early 2010s by Banky W, who later revealed in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that Wizkid still owed the label three albums as per their initial contract.
Despite their success at EME, Wizkid and Skales eventually parted ways with the label due to disagreements with Banky W.
