Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, recently made a bold claim, stating that he is the most attractive artist in Nigeria.
Blaqbonez, who is known for his humorous and outspoken personality, expressed disbelief over the times he was labeled “ugly” in the past.
Responding to a compliment from a female fan on X (formerly Twitter), who praised his looks by saying, “Blaqbonez so fine,” the rapper replied, “I remember when they called me ugly when I’m literally the most handsome artist in Nigeria. Smh.”
This statement stirred reactions among fans, who are used to Blaqbonez’s playful banter and self-confidence.

Meanwhile, in other music news, Spotify recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s iconic track “Ojuelegba.”
In a statement by Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, the streaming giant revealed that the song has garnered over 55 million streams since its release in 2014.
