It seems former couple Jude Ighalo and Sonia have reignited their ongoing feud, taking to their Instagram stories to throw shades at each other.
The parents of three, who have been embroiled in public spats since their separation, started their day with pointed remarks aimed at one another.
The drama began when Sonia dismissed rumours surrounding her, stating that she was unbothered as she was on a campaign tour. However, she made it clear that she would return before the naming ceremony in question.
This comment didn’t sit well with Jude, who responded by accusing her of being obsessed with him. The footballer expressed his frustrations, claiming that even the devil took breaks and hoped Sonia would eventually find peace.
He also hinted at exposing her lies, making it known that he is too busy to engage in “irrelevant things.”
Not one to shy away, Sonia fired back with a biting response, telling Jude she wouldn’t waste time replying to his “gibberish” and acknowledged that he was still hurt because she had wasted his flight tickets by not showing up. In a sarcastic apology, she wrote, “My guy, I won’t reply to all the gibberish you posted. I know you are still hurt because I wasted your flight tickets (For not showing up). I am sorry. Wowo.”
Sonia and Jude Ighalo married in 2009 but separated in 2020 after a decade of marriage. Their breakup has been followed by frequent clashes on social media, with Sonia often taking shots at the footballer.
One major source of controversy arose when Sonia accused BBNaija star Uriel Oputa of having an affair with Jude, a claim Uriel publicly denied.

Sharing a photo of her new partner, whose face she concealed with an emoji, Sonia gushed over how he had restored her faith in love after enduring numerous disappointments.
In a surprising twist, Sonia also revealed details of her tumultuous relationship timeline with Jude, confirming that they separated in 2019 but reconciled in 2021, only to split again in 2022 without Jude’s official signature.
She further claimed that Jude had attempted to reconcile yet again, but their relationship fell apart due to interference from his family.
