Famous Ghanaian media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, professionally known as Delay, recently shared insights into her struggles prior to achieving success.
In a video posted online, Delay, host of the long-running Delay Show for 16 years, revealed her humble beginnings and the hardships she faced on her path to success.
From her early days in Tema, the television host and entrepreneur explained the financial difficulties she endured, including going without food and relying on friends for meals.
“The friend would then go and buy ‘check check’ (fried rice), which we shared,” Delay recalled.
To show the severity of her situation at the time, Delay, who recently denied rumours of dating Amerado, stated that she only owned one pair of brassiere and had to “repair” continuously because of constant wear and tear.
“At a point, I had only one brassiere. One hand would get torn, and I would sew it and use it again,” she said while laughing.
This candid revelation sheds light on Delay’s journey from adversity to becoming one of Ghana’s prominent media figures, known for her impeccable style and thriving business ventures.
Despite her current success, Delay frequently reflects on the challenges she overcame to reach the pinnacle of her career.
