According to Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho, Manchester United still has a chance to win the 2017-18 Premier League title if Manchester City is punished by the league.
Mourinho, who led United to a second-place finish behind City during that season, believes that City’s current financial rules violations could result in United being awarded the title if they are found guilty.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Fernabahce’s Europa League clash with Man United on Thursday, he said:
“I think Man Utd still have a chance to win that league [2017/18 season] if they punish Manchester City.
“In that case, I hope they give me my medal and pay me the bonus.”
