After a brief absence, South African rapper Gigi Lamayne has returned to the spotlight, ready to reclaim her place in the music world. Gigi told DRUM Magazine about her big intentions for both music and business.
“I’m currently in a rebirth,” Gigi shared. Her latest single, Come Outside, marks her comeback and gives fans a taste of her upcoming project, featuring fresh talent from the hip-hop world. The single confronts the challenges she has faced in the industry. “The song is simply saying come outside in your true form. Don’t hide behind anything,” she explained.
Despite her passion for music, Gigi has also worked as an entrepreneur. Her IV Vitamin and Therapy Lounge in Sandton, which debuted in December 2023, is booming. “It’s been going great. I’ve always said I wanted to achieve it before I turned 30, and that’s exactly what I did,” she proudly remarked.
Aside from music and her lounge, Gigi is active in various projects, including working with Uber, owning a shoe line, and podcasting. She sees this as part of her maturation, stating, “Now is the time to reinvest in our brands and ourselves.”
Fans may also look forward to Gigi’s European tour in the summer of 2025 when she will showcase her new music and enthusiasm globally.
