R&B artist Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, recently shared in a podcast interview with Big Boy TV that she believes she is incredibly popular in Nigeria.
She mentioned that her fame can make it challenging for her to move around in the country, recounting a close encounter with a mob while driving in Lagos last December.
Tems added that she now requires police escorts to drive in Nigeria due to her high level of recognition.
“I used to drive in Nigeria, but now I can’t drive. I almost got mobbed last December. If I want to drive, I must have police escorts at the front and the back,” she said.
Tems said she struggled with fame because she’s an introvert but later adjusted.
