Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou looks forward to the challenge of dethroning Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City after the Spaniard extended his contract until 2027.
Speaking ahead of Spurs’ match against the defending champions, Postecoglou expressed his desire to lead his team to Premier League success despite City’s domination.
“I look at it the other way — imagine you knock him off. That would be something, eh?” Postecoglou said during a press conference.
“I love the fact that there is a massive target out there. Hopefully, it challenges you to be like that as well.”
Guardiola, who has led City to four consecutive Premier League titles, is seeking an unprecedented fifth.
While Tottenham’s last trophy came in 2008, Postecoglou remains strongly determined to bring success back to North London.
Tottenham face a stern away test against Manchester City on Saturday evening, hoping to improve their standing in the league table.
