Rapper Cardi B has expressed her concern about the prejudices that women face in society.
Cardi B emphasized that, while women frequently put in substantially more effort and achieve better results than males, their accomplishments are commonly ignored as a result of their physical appearance or perceived manipulation of their sexuality.
Cardi posted on her X account on Saturday that she was displeased with the criticism directed at Democratic contender Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming that most of the scrutiny stems from her gender.
The rapper related her own experiences, noting that, like Harris, she has often been underestimated and her accomplishments have been undermined.
She wrote, “Just like Kamala Harris, I have been the underdog and I have been underestimated!! My success always discredited.
“Let me tell you something, women have to work ten times harder and perform ten times better and still our success comes with excuses… its because she’s pretty or because she slept her way to the top. I see the disgusting attacks against Kamala and it’s not only angered me but has motivated me more now than ever to not just say something, but to do something!… I can’t stand a bully!”
This statement from Cardi B follows her participation in a rally for Kamala Harris in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she formally endorsed the Democratic candidate for the upcoming presidential election.
