FIFA President Gianni Infantino assured US President-elect Donald Trump that football fans can expect an excellent World Cup in 2026.
Infantino extended his congratulations to Trump on his victory in the US presidential election, defeating Democrat rival Kamala Harris.
“Congratulations Mr President!’ Infantino wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
“We will have a great FIFA World Cup and a great FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America! Football Unites the World!”
The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
