Adele has announced that she has no intentions of performing again following years of residencies.
The 36-year-old artist concluded her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas on Saturday night after an impressive total of 100 performances over the span of two years.
She also captivated audiences in Europe during the summer when she directed her Adele in Munich shows in August.
However, fans who were unable to witness her performances in either location are now faced with an uncertain wait to see her return to the stage, as she has suggested that she will be taking a hiatus from performing.
The Rolling In The Deep singer told her Las Vegas audience on Saturday, as per NME, “I will miss it terribly. I will miss you terribly. I don’t know when I’m going to perform again. I’m not doing anything else.”
Adele then continued, “I’m actually s**tting myself about what I’m actually going to do. I don’t have any f**king plans.”
The singer could certainly occupy her time by managing her substantial earnings, as it has been reported that she accrued significant revenues from her two residencies.
In May of the previous year, reports indicated that the Bond theme singer was earning $2 million (£1.6 million) per night during her Vegas Residency, with projections estimating that her shows would generate a total gross of $105 million (£83 million).
Meanwhile, her Munich performances are rumored to have generated even greater financial success, with her venue’s 74,000 capacity yielding €540 million (£448 million) across her 10-show engagement.
