Machine Gun Kelly to join The Voice

Machine Gun Kelly is set to make an appearance on The Voice.

The artist, known in real life as Colson Baker, will be a playoff advisor for Team Gwen Stefani on the episode airing on 19 November. NBC shared a sneak peek of his role, showing him supporting contestant Jake Tankersley and urging him to showcase his charisma.

“You have a good smile, so maybe crack a smile on that and let people know they can be close to you,” he tells Jake. “When you have any moment when there is no lyrics though, because there is so many words, step away from the mic and play your guitar.”

Gwen Stefani told People magazine that she couldn’t wait to have his input on her team.

“He has such an identity as far as self-style and the way he puts himself out there with his artistry and creativity. He’s bold,” she said. “He sees things from a fresh perspective.”

Machine Gun Kelly admitted he was “so eager” to work with Stefani in “any capacity,” adding, “I still feel like so much of a student, so it’s hard to be in this role, but hopefully I added something.”

MGK and his fiancée Megan Fox recently announced they were expecting a baby together, after having a miscarriage last year. They announced the news on Instagram, showing a film clip of a positive pregnancy test.

“Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back,” Megan, 38, captioned the post, referring to lyrics from MGK’s song, Last November, about their previous pregnancy loss
