Stanley Nwabali, the father of Super Eagles goalkeeper, has passed away. Nwabali took to his Instagram story to announce the sad news on Friday morning.
The Chippa United player did not mention the cause of his father’s death but expressed his grief with a post and tearful emoji.
He also posted a message, “Rest in peace, dad”.
This tragic event occurred shortly after Nwabali led the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw against Benin Republic at the 2025 AFCON qualifier in Abidjan.
Due to this loss, Nwabali may not participate in Nigeria’s next AFCON qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo as he mourns his father.
