During Jamie Foxx’s birthday celebration at a Los Angeles restaurant, an altercation took place, as reported by a press release from the Beverly Hills Police Department.
“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” a spokesperson for the Just Mercy star told Page Six on Saturday.
“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
Authorities were called to Mr Chow at 10:06 pm on Friday for a reported assault with a deadly weapon.
The police department confirmed that the incident involved a physical altercation between individuals, but no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
According to a witness who spoke to TMZ, customers at another table were being disrespectful to the singer, promoting Jamie Foxx to ask them to stop bothering his family. In response, someone allegedly threw a glass at him, hitting him in the face.
Earlier in the week, Foxx had expressed gratitude for another year on his birthday, reflecting on a health scare he faced in 2023.
“It’s beautiful because I didn’t know if I would be here to celebrate it,” he told photographers in a video post on X.
