The Plateau State Police Command has refuted claims that they are investigating the alleged theft of funds from a Non-Governmental Organisation owned by social media commentator, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

VDM had posted a video alleging that approximately N180 million had been stolen from the NGO’s account, stating that a suspect had been arrested in Jos, Plateau State in relation to the incident.

According to VDM, the money was taken after someone hacked into the NGO’s website. The video has garnered significant attention and sparked criticism from various sources.

When contacted on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Command, Alfred Alabo said, “We don’t know anything about that. We are not investigating it. Kindly contact FCT Command to know if the matter was reported to them.”

The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command also said they are “not aware of the matter”.
