Nigerian singer Chike shared a recent encounter with a bully from his secondary school days, where the bully referred to him as “big bro” despite being older.
The proud singer opened up about the experience with his fans on X on Sunday.
He wrote, “Person weh de bully me lowkey for school just call me big bro. By the way, e senior me.”
His post did not sit well with some X users, who described it as “classist.”
Reacting, Chike said, “Classism not the point. Rest.”
Several Nigerian celebrities, including Tiwa Savage, Tems, Kizz Daniel, and Taymesan, have in the past spoken about being bullied while growing up.
