Popular Nigerian singer Chike has stirred controversy with his blunt opinion about marriage.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the “Running” crooner revealed that he has no plans to walk down the aisle, describing marriage as unnecessary for him.
“In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. That’s my opinion,” Chike said.
The soulful singer further explained that his happiness is tied more to financial stability than marital commitments.
“I need a lot of money to be happy,” he added, clarifying that it is not about greed but about living the kind of life he desires.
Chike also disclosed that music was never part of his original career path, admitting he only discovered his passion for it after graduating from the university.
Addressing perceptions about his personality, he noted that while some critics consider him arrogant, their opinions do not bother him.
