Tacha Demands $10 Million Compensation for Phyna’s Sister After Dangote Truck Accident

BBNaija’s Tacha Calls Out Nigerians in the UK for Secretly Recording Her

Former Big Brother Naija star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has called out the Dangote Group following the tragic accident involving one of their trucks and Phyna’s sister, Ruth.

Recall that Ruth, the younger sister of BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, recently lost one of her legs after being hit by a Dangote truck.

Reacting via Instagram, Tacha demanded that the Dangote Group compensate Ruth and her family with at least $10 million, stressing that the recklessness of their drivers must no longer go unchecked.

She wrote:
“It’s high time the Dangote group starts paying heavily for the recklessness of their drivers. They ought to pay $10 million in compensation to Ruth even though it won’t bring back her leg.”

Her comments sparked massive reactions online as Nigerians shared their thoughts:

  • @j_hairs01: “They should pass a law for trailers and trucks to only move at night😢.”

  • @_she.peng: “A whole family was killed by one of their trucks last month in Gombe state. This one only went viral because of Phyna.”

  • @liciagreat: “Thank u for always lending ur voice👏👏luv u loads Tee❤️.”

  • @jobemmanuel49: “Seeing that girl’s condition breaks my heart 😢😢.”

  • @sandy_4.e.v.a: “This is a movement and an awareness.”

  • @bonair.collectionss: “So sad. I know you, you know me has brought so much pain to Nigerians, cos no repercussion for any faults.”

  • @moonsluxuryhair: “Thank you dear for always lending your voice ❤️.”

  • @jacoshe: “U spoke well but u decided to speak now because it happened to a relative of a celebrity. If it hadn’t happened to Ruth but rather to an unknown person, u won’t speak up.”

  • @ariennah1: “Has any of Dangote’s truck drivers chased you before just because you overtook them without horning? That was my experience in 2015 and it left me traumatized. I developed PTSD and now whenever I see a Dangote truck, I ask the driver of any vehicle I’m in to park and let them pass. They are heartless especially on highways.”

The incident has once again reignited conversations about road safety, reckless driving by heavy-duty trucks, and the need for stricter regulations in Nigeria.
