Popular Nigerian singer, Chike, has called out a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, for allegedly defrauding him.
In a series of posts shared on X on Monday morning, Chike claimed that he gave Chioma $20,000 for a business deal but she allegedly failed to fulfill her part of the agreement.
The music star said he discovered much later that he might have been defrauded.
He wrote, “Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief? That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money.
“$50,000 in the air . $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped. Even me I de laugh myself.”
Chike also warned his followers not to engage in any business dealings with the woman he accused of fraud.
Responding to questions about the nature of the transaction, the singer said the details of the business were not the main issue, insisting that the focus should be on the alleged fraud.
“Whatever business chioma sells to you is not the issue . The big issue here is that the business does not even exist, which then equates to fraud,” he wrote.
The singer further revealed that he has begun a process to recover the funds he claims to have lost in the deal.
As of the time of filing this report, the accused social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, has not publicly responded to the allegations made by Chike.
