An unspecified number of soldiers from the Myoung Barracks in Yaba, Lagos State, were feared dead and others injured after a suspected drunk driver crashed into them.
The incident took place during morning physical training, causing panic within the military community.
According to a soldier who witnessed the incident, the vehicle involved had three individuals believed to be internet fraudsters.
Speaking to one of the soldiers, he said, “There’s blood everywhere. I was spared because I was at the back.”
One of the occupants fled the scene, while the other two were caught and beaten by the military men, with their vehicle being damaged.
