Controversial Nigerian musician Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, has been released from Kuje Prison, as confirmed by activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju on Tuesday.
Posting on X, Adeyanju wrote: “Speed Darlington is out of Kuje Prison.”
After facing pressure, the Nigeria Police Force arraigned him in court, leading to his release on bail. Okoye had previously requested DIG Dasuki Galadanchi to intervene in his prolonged detention by the police.
Speed Darlington‘s arrest came after he accused Burna Boy of inappropriate relations with P. Diddy. Justice M.S. Liman’s order on December 23, 2024, mandated the police to charge Okoye.
