Rihanna’s partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, was acquitted of all charges in his felony criminal trial in Los Angeles.
The singer broke down in tears upon hearing the verdict, and Rocky immediately embraced her.
“Thanks y’all for saving my life,” A$AP Rocky told the jury, composed of seven women and five men, as he left the courtroom, according to the Associated Press.
The artist, known as Rakim Mayers, faced serious charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm that could have resulted in a lengthy prison sentence.
Despite prosecutors offering a plea deal of six months in jail, Rocky chose to go to trial.

After the emotional verdict was announced, A$AP Rocky hugged his lawyers with gratitude. The jury deliberated for three hours before unanimously deciding on his innocence.
Rihanna had attended the trial sporadically and brought the couple´s two sons – two-year-old RZA Athelston Mayers and one-year-old Riot Rose Mayers – for some of the closing arguments.
